Q: Do I have to have a CDL?
A: Yes, we require each Hot Shot driver to hold a Class A CDL in combination of at least two years of Flatbed and/or Hotshot hauling

Q. Do you have Hot Shot Freight where I live?
A: We have drivers and customers all across the United States. Where you live is not a problem when it comes to loading the truck or
getting back home

Q: Do you lease trailers:
A: Yes, but they are very limited and are usually on backorder. We do however have contracts with America’s top Trailer manufacturers
that have financing available for our drivers.

Q: Do you lease on Big Trucks?
A: No, the Roadmasters Family  has a separate division for Big Trucks. We specialize in Hotshots only. We can redirect you to a different
Fleet in the Roadmasters Family.

Q: How much money do hotshots make?
A: That depends on the Hot Shot Driver. We do not force dispatch so you can work as much as you want.

Q: What do you classify as a hot shot truck?
A: Any 1 ton pickup or single axle tractor with a 40’- 53' gooseneck, flatbed, or stepdeck.

Q: Can I be home on weekends?
A: We expect our drivers to be out 18-21 days at a time. Once you are home, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.

Q: Do I have to stop at scales and carry a log book?
A: Yes, you are a registered tractor-trailer combination and have to abide by all the same laws as the big trucks.

Q: What kind of equipment do I need on my trailer?
A: At least 10, 2”- 4” straps, 4 - 15’ Chains and Binders, and 6' drop tarps.

Q: What kind of freight do we haul?
A: We haul mostly plastics. We do however pull a lot commercial Air Condition and Heating units, Construction products, and Machinery.

Q: Can I lease on multiple units?
A: If you have multiple units, as long as your drivers meet our qualifications they can be leased to you.

Q: Do I have to file for a 2290?
A: We don’t apportion any hotshots over 54,000 lbs

Q: What sets Hot Shot Logistics, LLC apart from other Hot Shot Trucking Companies?
A: We have enough Hot Shot Equipment across the United States to cover our customers needs. This lets us provide superior Hot Shot
services to multiple regions without gouging our valued customer.
